Bureau Veritas is a proud member of the AAPN. In an effort to help the members of the AAPN manage their testing costs for products that do not have specific retailer or brand requirements, we have negotiated a special AAPN discount on performance/quality testing for fabric, trims and finished goods as well as compliance/regulatory testing (specifically for CPSIA and Cal Prop 65). To service the needs of the AAPN members we focused this program on our labs in the Americas - Guatemala, Mexico and the USA. The administration of this program will be handled out of out Taunton, MA office by Cora Gauthier. Her phone number and email address are below.

The key points and FAQs are as follows:

1. What will we test?
Based on our extensive knowledge of testing programs for most of the major US and EU retailers and brands, BV has developed Best Practice testing packages. These cover fabric, trims and finished goods for both performance, quality and regulatory (where applicable).

2. Will this include CPSIA and Cal Prop 65 testing; does the same discount apply; will the testing requirements (and limits) be updated?
Yes, yes and yes. As new requirements, settlements or limits come out we will automatically update the testing packages to reflect the most current state.

3. Can BV provide a GCC?
Yes - please make sure to request this at the time you submit your samples

4. What is needed to submit the samples?
You must send to the lab our AAPN Test request form (TRF) along with the appropriate number of samples. Fill this out completely (we can walk you through the form if needed).

5. Where do you get the TRF and sampling requirements?

7. Can I use this program in place of retailer or brands program; and can I use this pricing in place of or in addition to retailer or brands negotiated prices?
No. This program is not over an above, or replaces, any existing retailer or brand program. Those remain in place and supersede this program (in all aspects - including requirements and pricing).
